it's so wonderful as memories continue to grow into beautiful things...
Today, it has been exactly one year since the Radio Show opened. I can't believe it. So much has happened since then, yet it only seems like a few months ago. I still remember sitting there on the first day of class, talking about 1940's actors and actresses, red lipstick, high heels, short hair (Daniel was crushed), etc. I remember--like it was yesterday--opening our show with Candy Matson. I remember closing our show and feeling numb and lightheaded. I remember the Awards Ceremony, then going to India's house with some of the other girls. I remember the DVD premiere, watching the behind-the-scenes clips, taking pictures, saying goodbye to people. Those were good times. Why does it seem like it just happened? So much has changed, including me. I'm not the same person I was then. What happened then had its ups and downs--sometimes the downs outnumbered the ups--but it was a good experience. And it changed me. And I'm glad it happened. Every single bit of it.

Okay, sorry for this semi depressing post. And I hope that every last one of you from the Radio play looks on those memories as fondly as I do.

Sassie

  • If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended, That you have but slumber’d here While these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, No more yielding but a dream, Gentles, do not reprehend: if you pardon, we will mend: And, as I am an honest Puck, If we have unearned luck Now to ’scape the serpent’s tongue, We will make amends ere long; Else the Puck a liar call; So, good night unto you all. Give me your hands, if we be friends, And Robin shall restore amends.

  • Say what you mean, mean what you say
once a day don't you wanna throw the towel in?
so I lay my head back down
    Ignorance is bliss--cherish it
and just to clear the air...
wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles...
say it if it's worth savin' me
send out the call and join the fray
to those who'd ground me, take a message back from me
one smile and suddenly nobody else will do
careful the tale you tell, that is the spell
