To go against conscience is neither right nor safe...

HAPPY REFORMATION DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Today is the anniversary of the day in history when Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to a door. Without that act, there would probably have never been a reformation in Germany.

In other news, tonight is the Fall Fest at Grace Point. I'm working the face painting booth this year...again. Last year Beth and I were the ONLY ones there to work the face painting booth. So Andrea Miller kindly took some time out from walking around and helped us.

And tomorrow CJ is coming home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's so exciting. That night is also the Reformation Day celebration. We're celebrating the English Reformation this year.

Right now all 6 Russell kids are here cause Aubrey's gone and Dirk is teaching today. So we have them ALL day. Sam is telling me 'Hi' from upstairs right now. He feels the need to say it over and over just in case I forget ;)

Okay, going to make breakfast for all these munchkins. I swear...one of these days they'll all gang up on me (they all love Beth the best) and you'll be hearing "good news...she's dead!" lol j/k.

Love yall,

Sassie

you will be home with me once upon a December...

I miss this girl so much :(
Yesterday I went and spackled her room...I wish she was here. Through a long chain of events she wasn't. *sniff*

Ever seen the movie "All Quiet on the Western Front?" If you haven't, see it. It's amazing.
"I can live 5 seconds during a bomb raid in a bomb proof trench, or survive 10 hours out in no man's land."

Don't really have much to say right now...it's kinda boring around here. Production class in drama is getting just a wee bit frustrating...oh well. It's only once a week. I like music class a heck of alot better.

CJ is coming home on Wednesday!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited! Reformation Day is this Tuesday but the church is celebrating it on Wednesday...lots and lots of English food. Can you say Fish 'n chips? There's some sort of dish that someone's making...it's called "Bubble and Squeak." Yeah. I'm not kidding.

My favorite historical "bad guy" ever is Gregory Rasputin. I love reading about him.

I made a list of my top favorite cartoon characters:

Alrighty then, I must be off.

Love yall,

Sassie

Won't you save me?
Such an incredible song:

It was a test we could all hope to pass
But none of us would want to take.
Faced with the choice to deny God to live,
For her, there was one choice to make.

This was her time.
this was her dance.
She lived every moment;
left nothing to chance.

She swam in the sea;
drank of the deep;
Embraced the mystery of all she could be.
This was her time...

Though you are mourning and grieving with us,
Death died a long time ago;
Swallowed in life so that life carries on.
Still its so hard to let go.

This was her time.
this was her dance.
She lived every moment;
left nothing to chance.

She swam in the sea;
drank of the deep;
Embraced the mystery of all she could be.

What if tomorrow, and what if today,
Faced with the question,
Oh what would you say?

This is your time.
this is your dance.
Live every moment.
leave nothing to chance.

Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Follow the mercy and hear yourself praying.
Wont you save me?
Wont you save me?

This is your time.
this is your dance.
Live every moment.
leave nothing to chance.

Swim in the sea.
drink of the deep.
Embrace the mystery of all you can be.

This is your time.
this is your dance.
Live every moment.
leave nothing to chance.

Swim in the sea.
drink of the deep.
Embrace the mystery of all you can be.

This is your time...

This Is Your Time ~ Michael W. Smith

This song was written for a very special girl who died in the shooting at Columbine several years ago. When a gunman asked if she was a Christian or not, she looked down the barrel of his gun and said "Yes." She died the next instant. Because of what she said, we know we will see her again.
This is our time.

The Good Lord gave us mountains so we could learn how to climb
A Thursday afternoon put in quotes.

"There are times in life when you gotta crawl, lose your grip, trip and fall..."

"So I talk to you like children cause I don't know how I feel, but I know I'll do the right thing if the right thing is revealed"

"If you're goin' through hell, keep on movin', face that fire, walk right through it, you might get out before the devil even knows you're there"

"All I want is peace and quiet than only You can give me...give me peace, give me hope"

"Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance"

"This is your time, this is your dance, live every moment, leave nothin' to chance"

"I stand here on the stage afraid to move, afraid to fall, oh, but fall I must"

"I wanna know, I wanna feel, find peace, find the real"

"In this darkness that you know, you cannot fight"

"And the questions without answers come and paralyze the dancer"

Yeah. That's all I got.

fully alive...
...Okay, not so much. You can tell I'm tired. I'm quoting Flyleaf. Not a huge fan. Yeah. I had a REALLY long day helping Andy make his documentary of Rebuilding Together downtown. I was sort of a behind-the-scenes reporter. The area of San Antonio tha we went to looks so different from the side most of us are used to. It didn't even look like the same city. I left the house with the Hubers at 6:30 am and came back at about 6:30 pm. Not kidding. It was a very long day. But a profitable one.

It struck me as odd that the very run-down section of downtown is just 200-300 meters away from the King William district, where you see a bunch of historic mansions where rich people live.

When I got home Melanie and Andy (different Andy) were here, and we watched Mean Girls. I'm not sure if I liked it or not. It had some funny parts though.

I deleted my last post cause it stupid and way too long for its own good. It was one of those 'hear-my-life-story' posts. I doubt anyone's interested in that lol.

I'm seriously going to bed RIGHT now. I need the sleep. Badly.

*EDIT: my mother knows me all too well. Check out her blog entry with one of my favorite songs.*

Love yall,

Sassie

from your lips she drew a hallelujiah
I just watched Oklahoma!. I love that musical.

Last night was fun. Anna, Nicole, Steven, Daniel, Melanie, PT, Scott, Andy, Jordan, and Tommy came over and we had a game night. We played SceneIt? (which we kinda sorta cheated on the whole thing...) and Bingo. And talked. alot. That's what we're best at lol.

No school this week! wOOt!!

Something really weird happened a few days ago! Okay, when you go to the maize, you get a wristband. I still had mine on a few days later (I still have it on lol). Since I'm right handed I put it on my left wrist. But then a few mornings ago I woke up and it was on my right wrist! It was really freaky! I don't know how it got there.

Mom comes home from Virginia tomorrow!

I think someone has read my mind. I was on YouTube on Saturday, and I found the most awesome thing EVER! Clips from my favorite movie set to one of my favorite songs! Check it out here

I want empadas right about now

Ok, I think I'm gonna go eat a late lunch or something....

And nobody in all of Oz is ever gonna bring me down

^^Are we good or what????

I'm about to watch an episode of LOST online with Beth. I watched the first part, then it froze, then it was Beth's turn on the computer so we're both gonna watch it.

I watched The Sound of Music for the umpteenth time today. The scene where Maria comes back and they're all singing 'My Favorite Things' together gives me chills. *Sigh* I wish I had Julie Andrews' voice. She is (or was) amazing.

"The Newsies" needs to be on Broadway. It's one of the best movie musicals ever. "Summer stinks and winter's waiting...welcome to New York! Boy, ain't nature fascinatin' when you's gotta walk!"

Today actually felt like fall! I'm so excited!

Okay, I'm going to watch LOST.

I'm learning what painless is 'cause it isn't how I feel
Hola. It's been a few days.

Wow Friday and Saturday were fun! As you can tell from my last post, Nicole and Anna spent the night. It was a blast. We watched 'Into the Woods,' ate tons of junk food, and were so hyper that we laughed at everything. Finally went to sleep at around 3-3:30ish and woke up at 8:29, fell back asleep, and woke up just a little while before Anna and Nicole had to leave.

That afternoon we all went to Becca's party with our systems out of whack from lack of sleep. It was fun, we played a game which I'm sure has some sort of name, but for now I'll call it the grouping game. Then we played the centipede (sp?) game and did our best to stay awake.

Then we all piled into cars and drove to Hondo to the Corn Maize. That was super fun. Me, Anna, and Nicole all got a lemon shaker for the sugar high. I don't know about theirs', but mine lasted about 20 minutes. We built a very shaky human pyramid, consisting of Nate, PT, and Daniel on the bottom, Anna and Nicole in the middle, and myself on top. That was an adventure, to say the least:) Took the barrel train ride and the hayride. Those were both fun. I especially liked the barrel train better than I did last year *wink*.

The only problem (other than being dead tired) was my foot. I wore my converse to the maize--bad idea. So my fashitis started acting up. Alot. But it was nice that the only person who knew was Nicole, so that was only one person to hassle me about walking on it too much:) lol j/k. I love you, Nicole!!

I have quit soda. The ONLY exception is an HEB generic root beer on rare occasions. Because it's just too wonderful ;). But other than that, I don't drink any soda. And I feel alot better. Every time I would normally drink soda I have a glass of water instead. I also like the SoBe Strawberry Daiquiris. Those are really good.

Last night I drank my weight in coffee punch, then suffered for it when I remembered I hadn't taken any lactaide pills. You know how much half & half coffee punch has???

Our kitchen computer(the main computer) has a virus. It may have to die. I don't know--my dad's gonna see if a guy in our church can fix it, but he doesn't think so. That means all my pictures (all 6 hundred something), will go out the window. Wow I'm selfish. Here I am worrying if I'll get to save my computer pictures, and there kids around the world wondering if they'll get fed that day. If I do end up keeping my pictures, I'm deleting more than half. I think this virus is sending me a message: YOUR PICTURES CONTROL YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!

Okay this is a long post.

God bless all of you,

Susanna

*EDIT: I got the cast list for the spring musical revue....and I am playing Glinda in Wicked. I'm shaking I'm so excited. I looked over the castlist and I think everyone who wanted a certain thing got it. Thank you Scott for being the bearer of great news:) *

Hello to all in the blogger-people world! I hope all is well....... guess what.... its 2:44 baby! And I still TOTALLY have energy! Yes, I might be a tad annoying, a slight bit loopy, and majorly confused at almost everything that comes out of the girl's mouths but.... life is good =D Have fun in....whatever you're doing (?) -Yours truly, Nicole

A message from the lovely Nicole. We're pretty much going crazy...talking about 'biblical phrases' and 'body splash' and fun stuff like that. yeah. it's awesome. we just watched 'into the woods.' we were laughing hysterically at it.

ok we're going back upstairs now.

"Into the woods to sell a cow..."
"Into the woods to GRANDMOTHER'S house!!!!!!!!!!!!"

*EDIT: Anna and Beth were upstairs while we posted this. see, me and nicole were downstairs checking emails...why?...i don't know for sure....but we were, and they were there. we all went insane.*

cause if you gots the poison then i've gots the remedy....
So apparently, Matt, Daniel, Steven, and Nate wouldn't hang out with Becca, Anna, Nicole, Beth, or me if we had head-gear. Nice. Real nice. That's discrimination, isn't it? We all were over at Anna's house a few nights ago, and we stopped at Blockbuster and didn't tell the guys which movie we got. It was She's the Man. Yeah. They all hated it. They made fun of the girl with headgear the whole time. (Hey, Annie, 'it's just...so...difficult!')

MY GRANDPARENTS ARE HERE!!!

I've decided to change my name to 'Simplicio.' Because I'm such a simpleton. Also because I like that name. It sounds cool.

Tonight we're going over to the Russells' for Family Dinner Night. Since Caleb's birthday is on Saturday he got to pick the meal. Grilled Salmon. Let's just say me and Beth will eat alot of Denver biscuits. ;)

I have to read four chapters in the Iliad this week. I averaged it and I'll be reading 16 pages a day if I want to get through by Sunday. My class is on Monday. But I like it better than I thought I would. Dr. Lund (my online professor) is cool.

I'm going to play Hybernia on the piano for the Christmas recital. Michael W. Smith wrote it. I'm excited. But it's super hard. It's really irish/scottish sounding. It's originally played mostly on bagpipes. It's really cool.

I didn't realize until recently how much I love dancing. I could dance for hours on end. Especially swing dancing. It is soooooo much fun. We're gonna swing dance on Thursday at drama cause Becca's gonna be there!!! wOOt!

Kristen's gonna have her baby any day now!!! I'm so excited!

"What fools these mortals be!"

Okay, that's all.

Susanna

What if I stumble, what if I fall....
Has it been a whole half a year already?

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the sun does not appear,
I will be here.

If in the dark we lose sight of love,
Hold my hand and have no fear,
‘Cause I will be here.

I will be here when you feel like being quiet;
When you need to speak your mind,
I will listen.

And I will be here when the laughter turns to crying;
Through the winning, losing, and trying, we’ll be together,
‘Cause I will be here.

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the future is unclear,
I will be here.

As sure as seasons are made for change,
Our lifetimes are made for years,
So I will be here.

I will be here, so you can cry on my shoulder;
When the mirror tells us we’re older,
I will hold you.

And I will be here to watch you grow in beauty,
And tell you all the things you are to me;
I will be here.
I will be true to the promise I have made,
To you and to the One who gave you to me.

~~I Will Be Here, Steven Curtis Chapman
