I think Nathan and I won the inheritance with our gifts to Dad. Most definitely.
Scott and I totally did One under the streetlights on Hondo. Very few things are quite as enjoyable and nostalgic as that.
My new digital camera is fantastic! All I need is a memory card! And lithium batteries! But it's fantastic!
I'm many things. I'm happy, friendly, secure, pro-life, confused, talented, confusing, arrogant, passionate, and a host of other things. But one thing I'm definitely not is remarkable.
My grandparents are just the greatest people I know. Or anyone knows, for that matter.
Just in case you were wondering. Or even if you weren't.
"Making the best of it
Playing the hand you get
You're not alone in this"
So to trust your promises, O Lord
That I lose not faith's sweet consolation
Offered me within Your holy Word."
How true. How true.
I cannot believe Christmas is a week away! Where did the year go? BUT, I got all my Christmas shopping done! Hurray!
This year, I...
- Said a horribly sad goodbye
- Ended a friendship
- Threw 2 surprise parties
- Found my calling
- Laughed
- Taught piano
- Made life goals
- Found myself
- Signed autographs
- Cried
- Listened to music I wouldn't now
- Decided I would one day live in New York
- Slept past noon
- Flew on a plane by myself
- Regretted
- Dreamed in a musical
- Stood up for what I believed
- Hugged
- Got arrested
- Had a Shirley Temple marathon
- Accepted
- Felt inadequate
- Renewed a friendship
- Choreographed a musical
- Loved
- Saw a favorite musical onstage
- Was Glinda
- Had meaningful conversations with best friends and family
- Felt adequate
- Learned alot
- Despised
- Could sing the songs of over 40 different musicals
- Revisited a childhood home
- Reminisced
- Laughed until I cried
- Offered advice
- Had the best 2 weeks of my life
- Tried to be helpful
- Cried until I laughed
- Was caught in the middle of a huge deception
- Was severely insulted
- Expressed my thoughts about today's society on paper
- Witnessed [and received] 3 standing ovations
- Travelled to Red River with people I love
- Ate an entire fried mushroom
- Momentarily hated rain
- Attempted to teach music to 35 kids
- Wrote down on paper exactly what I thought
- Then shredded it
- Made this list
There you have it. I'm sure there's more, but I'm not likely to remember even half of what happened this year.
I wonder what next year will be like. I have a feeling it will be very good, though. I've been strangely optimistic and peacefully happy as of late. I don't know why, and I don't know how to put it into words. But it's there, and I'm glad of it. It's gotten me through many difficult situations.
God is so, so good.
Psapp is another new music favorite. Most definitely.
I have a very very busy holiday schedule lined up. Oh me oh my. I love Christmas season.
"Be still, my soul, the Lord is on your side."
I'm very excited about seeing my friends home from college! It makes me so happy.
It looks like we're going to have a Premiere after all! This also makes me happy. Very much so, as I've been aching to see A Century of Broadway since before it was even performed!
Sweeney Todd. The Dark Knight. 27 Dresses. Atonement. Prince Caspian. The Bucket List. All of these movies have one thing in common: they are all highly anticipated!
And this is all for tonight. I hope you all are very blessed!
"I drove to New York
In a van, with my friend
We slept in parking lots
I don't mind, I don't mind
I was in love with the place
In my mind, in my mind
I've made alot of mistakes
In my mind, in my mind"
