consider yourself one of us
So I've been tagged with the meme that went around a year ago and has made its way back to me again, by means of my sister Kristen.

(1) Link to the person that tagged you. (2) Post the rules on your blog. (3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself. (4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs. (5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website

My 6 things are.....

1) I stalk IMDb and other "unopen" movie websites daily, therefore I know about new movies WAY before the general public does (heard of The Other Boleyn Girl? yeah I've been waiting for that since '06)

2) I can kick your butt in Lord of the Rings Trival Pursuit (unless you're John Michael), plus any Disney trivia game

3) I don't listen to most pop music. But Gwen Stefani is my extremely guilty pleasure

4) Contrary to popular belief, I do not like the movie Fantasia. I find it weird and disturbing, and a waste of a movie

5) I only want you to see my favorite part of me

6) I click my nails incessantly. All the time

And I tag: Nicole, Emily, Dok, Ali, and Scott

1,2,3,4 tell me that you love me more
Dad got back from Hawaii today! Hooray! Not that leaving Hawaii is anything to be celebrated....I want to go back so badly!
I went to Southern Music for the first time yesterday w/ siblings and Miss Penny. It would be great if I could just live there. I got three new piano books--a collection of great classical pieces, a really fantastic Bach (favorite composer) book, and *drum roll* the 4th Edition Greatest Broadway Songs Ever piano book. GOODNESS GRACIOUS it's so big and exciting! I'm very happy. But I know now that I've been there, I'll never have EVERYTHING I want from there. Next up will be Greatest Movie Music, Bubbly by Colbie Caillat and 1,2,3,4 by Feist. They have a whole section of popular music of today, plus an even bigger section of show tunes that I will never get enough of. Thank you thank you thank you Miss Penny for taking us!

Also, I can now play The Luckiest by Ben Folds! What a wonderful feeling. And done with only a chord sheet!

P.S. I Love You was adorable. And sad. But mostly adorable. Harry Connick, Jr., of course, OWNED in it. He is my idol, and always will be. I want his Songs I've Heard CD!

I don't know what color to paint my room! I thought about purple, but my curtains are purple. I thought about red, by my bed is mainly red, and I don't want it to clash with the purple. I'm thinking maybe a goldish brown? I don't know....

a new favorite musical, Notre Dame de Paris. This is the opening number, Temps de Catedrali (The Time of the Cathedrals)
"All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance"

when the dawn comes tonight will be a memory, too
I'm such an obsessive person. 9 months after the musical revue ended, and I'm still posting about it and how much I miss it and how amazing it was. But honestly, that's only because it really WAS amazing. The premiere was yesterday, so I got to see it all again and remember everything again.
I remember the adrenaline rush that didn't leave for the whole 2 hour show.
I remember frantic costume changes and panics that I wouldn't get done in time.
I remember being proud that I never missed a cue.
I remember the dead feeling in the air at the end of each rehearsal.
I remember the alive feeling at the beginning of each rehearsal.
I remember Osha root throat spray.
I remember 2 dairy-free weeks.
I remember IHOP, and the wonderful conversations that took place there.
I remember thinking that we would never be ready.
I remember feeling that the musical would never end.
I remember when sleeping and eating were few and far between.

Goodness, I miss that play. So very much. It was so good.

After the premiere was over we went to see I Am Legend. Probably the most depressing movie I've ever seen. Then we went to Jim's. They have exceptional hot chocolate, and soup. Perfect for 40 degree weather.
"Little Lotte, where is your scarf?"

So yes, it was a fun day. Tiring, but fun. I love my friends.

"Look! Cocaine! Peppermint flavored for the holidays!"

Now I'm off to clean the sister's house. Fun stuff.

"Touch me
It's so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun"

  • If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended, That you have but slumber’d here While these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, No more yielding but a dream, Gentles, do not reprehend: if you pardon, we will mend: And, as I am an honest Puck, If we have unearned luck Now to ’scape the serpent’s tongue, We will make amends ere long; Else the Puck a liar call; So, good night unto you all. Give me your hands, if we be friends, And Robin shall restore amends.

  • Say what you mean, mean what you say
my vision is as simple as light
couldn't stay all my life down at heel
all i can taste is this moment
    life's like a jump rope
all's well at the base of the hill
make it simple, to last your whole life long
step by step He leads me
Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side;Bear pa...
    nothing's gonna change my world
    all you need is love
