it's so wonderful as memories continue to grow into beautiful things...
Today, it has been exactly one year since the Radio Show opened. I can't believe it. So much has happened since then, yet it only seems like a few months ago. I still remember sitting there on the first day of class, talking about 1940's actors and actresses, red lipstick, high heels, short hair (Daniel was crushed), etc. I remember--like it was yesterday--opening our show with Candy Matson. I remember closing our show and feeling numb and lightheaded. I remember the Awards Ceremony, then going to India's house with some of the other girls. I remember the DVD premiere, watching the behind-the-scenes clips, taking pictures, saying goodbye to people. Those were good times. Why does it seem like it just happened? So much has changed, including me. I'm not the same person I was then. What happened then had its ups and downs--sometimes the downs outnumbered the ups--but it was a good experience. And it changed me. And I'm glad it happened. Every single bit of it.
Okay, sorry for this semi depressing post. And I hope that every last one of you from the Radio play looks on those memories as fondly as I do.

once a day don't you wanna throw the towel in?
We had a Saturday rehearsal yesterday...whew! Worked on Act 2 before lunch and then got done with Act 1 (including all costume changes!!) after lunch. It all went fairly well, by the time we started Act 1 we were already pretty tired, but it was alright. On Thursday we're gonna do all of Act 2. I can't believe that we perform in 25 days! Ahhh!!!!!!!!! But I can really see now how the play is coming together. It looks really good. Daily rehearsals start soon--exciting, long, stressful, hilarious, tiring, hot, wonderful daily rehearsals. Wow.
Sarah left early on Saturday morning:'( it was really really great to see her. I hope to be going to Hawaii sometime this year. We had a really fun time while she was here.
I really like ensemble. It's alot of fun. I think we should do We Are Standing in His Presence a cappella in 3 part harmony for the Conservatory Showcase. It sounds really pretty.
Speaking of the Conservatory showcase, I'm probably gonna tell my piano teacher I won't be able to sing for it. I have so much to do! I'm playing "Toccata Et Fugue" by Bach, I'm accompanying 4 people (and half the stuff I don't know yet), doing Seize the Day and One for drama, and ensemble. That might be all I can handle. But we'll see.
I love yall! *muah*

Sarah is here!!!!!!! We're having so much fun! Last night me and Sarah and Beth spent hours talking about memories from Hawaii 6 years ago. Later I'll post pictures.
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: We officially have a CSDC BlogSpot: http://www.somethingappealing.blogspot.com/ so check it out and leave a comment if you want. We're still tweaking it a bit, though.
Drama on Thursday...Sarah's going to come and see what we do each week! Fun stuff! We're going to rehearse For Good again! Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!
And we watched A Walk to Remember today. Always a favorite.
Okay, well we're going to watch The Devil Wears Prada now.
Much love! *muah*

Ignorance is bliss--cherish it
I stayed home from Bible study tonight because I got my bottom braces on this morning and now my mouth hurts obscenely. At least I don't have drama tomorrow, so I can sleep in! That is a wonderful thing.
Lost is getting a little too ridiculous for me. I still watch it, just to see what's going to happen, but it's certainly lost the flame it had during the first season. Now it's all about House, The Office, and Ugly Betty. Also, I'm completely tired of American Idol. Not nearly as exciting as it used to be.
I'm reading the Diary of Anne Frank. It's incredible.
As the ticker at the top of my blog states, the musical revue is in little over a month. It's getting really close! Ahhhh!!!
Perhaps I should go watch House.
Or Wizard of Oz.
Love yall!
Sassie

and just to clear the air...
*ddeeeeeeep sigh* Ahhhhh. Rehearsal today was good...long, tiring, hot...but very good. :)
We're working on Act 2 now, from the end backwards, so we got to scene 10 which happens to be For Good. It went pretty well I'd say:) Nicole sounds A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"One" is so much fun!
Scott and I have a great idea for the Conservatory Showcase: The highschoolers are doing Seize the Day from Newsies, and One from A Chorus Line. So we mesh the end of Seize the Day with the beginning of One, like so: "...one for all and all for One...singular sensation, every little step she takes..." Most Definitely.
Okay, going to get my much needed sleep.
Good night!
Sassie

wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles...
I love Fiddler on the Roof!

Yesterday I watched "Anne Frank: The Whole Story" an ABC miniseries from 2001. It was incredible. It made me cry. I always enjoy learning about Miep Gies.
This is the new order of my favorite shows: "Lost," "The Office," "House," "Ugly Betty," "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit"
I'm extremely disappointed. I send you out for exciting, new designer drugs, you come back with tomato sauce.
I love House oh so much.
CJ, Beth and I have recently taken up a new habit: Locking ourselves in their room and hiding from the outside world by watching our DVDs of The Office, House, random movies, and by eating yummy food that isn't necessarily bad for us (angel food cake, strawberries, apples, caramel dip, crackers, etc.). It's quite a nice passtime.
I am very tired.
And I love yall very much:)
