I think the hardest part of holding on is letting it go...
Well, today, someone is coming to take Ellie away. Ellie was the Slaughters' dog, but when they moved to Virginia, they couldn't take her with them, so she stayed with us. She's been with us since then, and sometime today a man is going to take her to live with him and his family. I never really played with Ellie all that often, but it's going to be sad. She won't know anyone, she's leaving the last people she knows. Now our only pets will be R.I.P. the fish, who Bethany says is named Gilbert, and Dudley, Matt's cat(who dad calls Dumphey).

Ahh last night was so much fun! We had a party for Becca (who I didn't even know was going to be there). It was awesome. Good company...good food...good dancing...good music...good games...good wine--wait, scratch that last one ;). Yeah it was great. There was a lot of people there. I'll post pictures from it, as soon as *somebody* sends them to me:)

I'm excited. Tomorrow is Labor Day and since my dad gets off work that day we're not gonna do school, and we're gonna go to breakfast together. Fun fun.

Tonight as a pre labor day celebration, the russells and the smiths are coming over for a cookout. I suppose I should make a dessert or something....

Here's another pic from vacation. Me and my nephew Josh at the pool in Brunswick, Maryland. Now don't we look attractive? I was *smart enough* to jump into the pool with my sunglasses on....

"Wetness is the essence of moisture, and moisture is the essence of beauty."
^^props to you if you know what that line is from.

Well, this post is drawing to a close. Love every last one of you,

Susanna

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
O’er us sin no more hath dominion—
For more than conquerors we are!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonerful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

His Word shall not fail you—He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

*EDIT* so it turns out that the guy who said he was going to get Ellie never came. So the sadness can postpone itself a little while until somebody else calls:) *END OF EDIT*

  • If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended, That you have but slumber’d here While these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, No more yielding but a dream, Gentles, do not reprehend: if you pardon, we will mend: And, as I am an honest Puck, If we have unearned luck Now to ’scape the serpent’s tongue, We will make amends ere long; Else the Puck a liar call; So, good night unto you all. Give me your hands, if we be friends, And Robin shall restore amends.

  • Say what you mean, mean what you say
    I wish...for a moment...you could blow me a kiss...
Riding in our shiny motorcars, with eyeglasses ful...
    Day by Day
I hear the words you say...
There are places I remember all my life...
Distant though I am, orange gold and green, firing...
I painted my name on a bridge today...
There is a wonder and wildness to life....
    Goodbye for now, so long...
Summer days are gone too soon, you shoot the moon ...
